KWS Drivers Salary, Requirements and Application Process
KWS drivers are responsible for operating and maintaining vehicles used for transportation and other tasks related to the Kenya Wildlife Service operations.
They also play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of staff and visitors when driving through wildlife areas, which can be dangerous if not handled with care.
KWS Drivers Salary
KWS drivers earn an average gross monthly salary of Ksh. 25, 000-35,000.
Although the specific benefits amounts are not public, reliable sources have confirmed that their monthly allowances are similar to those stated in Salary and Remuneration Commission of Kenya (SRC) civil employees job group C1.
These include:
- Housing allowance: Ksh. 3750
- Leave allowance: Ksh.4000
- Hardship allowance: Ksh. 3000
- Risk allowance: Ksh.8200.
Requirements
- Valid Driving License: Applicants must have a valid driving license for the appropriate vehicle class they will be operating. They must also possess a defensive driving certificate.
- Experience: Applicants must have at least five years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and no criminal record.
