ADVERTISEMENT OF VACANCIES

The County Government of Kiambu wishes to recruit a Board Member to join the Board of Directors of Ruiru-Juja Water & Sewerage Company Ltd. Ruiru-Juja Water & Sewerage Company Ltd is a Water Service Provider wholly owned by the County Government of Kiambu mandated with providing water and sanitation services within Ruiru & Juja Sub counties.

The Board of Directors of the Company comprises of stakeholders identified as per the memorandum and articles of association in line with the regulator’s guidelines.

The Company has one (1) vacancy for a woman representative from either Juja or Ruiru subcounty nominated from a recognized institution operating within the Company’s service area.

Applications are invited from the nominees of the above-mentioned stakeholders’ who must
meet the following criteria:
a. Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized in Kenya.
b. Demonstrate experience and acumen in a business or any profession or trade for at least 5 years.
c. Demonstrate participation in local development initiatives.
d. Be in good standing with the nominating organization; and
e. Be a resident within the Company’s service area.

Application Guidelines

All applications must be accompanied by;
i. Copies of their detailed curriculum vitae with names, address and telephone contacts of three referees. Academic and professional certificates, testimonials, national identity card or passport and any other supporting documents.
ii. A letter of nomination from the above-named organization or relevant body from the area of jurisdiction.
iii. A letter from the area chief confirming the applicant’s residential status

Shortlisted candidates shall be required to fulfil the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution by submitting the following clearances.
a. Kenya Revenue Authority
b. Ethics & anti- Corruption Commission
c. Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Certificate of Good Conduct)
d. Higher Education Loans Board
e. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

The applications should be dropped at the Company’s office situated next to Kenyatta University, Ruiru Campus in plain sealed envelopes marked “APPLICATION FOR DIRECTOR OF RUIRU – JUJA WATER & SEWERAGE COMPANY LIMITED” on or before 28th April 2023 at 4:00pm and addressed to:
